What we do
with your data

Like most websites, our hosting and content-delivery providers (notably Cloudflare) may automatically log standard technical data, such as:

• An abbreviated or anonymized IP address
• Browser and device type
• The referring page
• Pages visited
• Timestamps

This information is used only to keep the site running, measure overall audience, ensure security, and detect technical problems. We do not use it to identify you personally.

We do not collect any personal data such as your name, email address, or any other identifying information.

Vote-Scope retains no personal data. The site is fully static. We do not store, keep, or process any personal information about visitors. Any technical logs at the hosting or CDN level are minimized, anonymized where possible, and kept only as long as strictly necessary for the operation and security of the site. Once that period elapses, they are deleted or overwritten. We apply a zero-retention policy for any personal data.

We may use privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics (such as Plausible or Fathom) as well as Google Search Console (aggregated, non-identifying data). We do not deploy advertising cookies or cross-site tracking of our own initiative.

Some content may come from third parties (Polymarket widgets, Substack embeds, video players, etc.). These third-party services may use their own cookies or tracking technologies, governed by their own privacy policies. You can refuse these cookies through your browser settings.

The site may, now or in the future, integrate content, widgets, advertising, partnerships, or features from third parties. These partners are independent and governed by their own policies. Vote-Scope is not responsible for their privacy practices. Any new feature (advertising, sponsorships, API, etc.) will be reflected in this policy. Refusing third-party trackers does not change the experience we offer you.

We use reasonable technical measures (HTTPS, static architecture, secure hosting via Cloudflare) to protect the site and limit risk. No system, however, is entirely immune to incidents.

In the unlikely event of a security breach involving personal information, we will promptly investigate and notify affected individuals as well as the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC), in accordance with PIPEDA requirements, and take appropriate steps to limit harm.

Vote-Scope may display or link to third-party services (Polymarket, Substack, etc.). These services are independent and have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.

The site is intended for a general adult audience interested in electoral and sports analysis. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Because we collect and retain virtually no personal data, most requests for access, correction, or deletion will have no data to act on. If you believe we hold information about you, contact us and we will respond promptly.

Kim Leclerc is responsible for compliance with this policy. Vote-Scope is operated from Ontario, Canada. This policy is governed by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the applicable laws of Ontario.

We may update this policy as the site evolves (including if we add partners, advertising, or new features). Material changes will be indicated by an updated date.
