Brazil began with a 1-1 draw against Morocco, then beat Haiti 3-0 and Scotland 3-0 to finish first in Group C with seven points, ahead of Morocco on goal difference. In the round of 32 it eliminated Japan 2-1. Its campaign ended in the round of 16 with a surprise 2-1 defeat to Norway. Brazil left the tournament with three wins, one draw and one defeat, ten goals scored and four conceded.
