Colombia beat Uzbekistan 3-1 and then DR Congo 1-0, with Daniel Muñoz scoring the decisive goal in the second match. A 0-0 draw with Portugal secured first place in Group K with seven points. In the round of 32, Colombia eliminated Ghana 1-0. It then drew 0-0 with Switzerland through 120 minutes in the round of 16 before losing the shootout 4-3. Colombia’s campaign ended without a defeat in regulation time or extra time.
