Ghana beat Panama 1-0 through a Caleb Yirenkyi goal in the 95th minute and then held England 0-0 with an inspired defensive performance. A 2-1 defeat to Croatia left it third in Group L with four points, enough to advance among the best third-placed teams. Colombia eliminated Ghana 1-0 in the round of 32. The team finished with one win, one draw and two defeats, two goals scored and three conceded.
